Self centeredness (Me, Myself and I)
‘Man seem to have a self centered nature. If his relatively weak physique forces him to seek cooperation, his inner drives constantly threaten to disrupt his social working paternship” ( Adam Smith said) … ?Thus I came to the thought that man’s limitations cause him to engage in cooperation in order to satisfy his own needs… That’s the Culture we are being raised in today… “Get what’s yours, get your degree (we need education to help the humanity make step forward not only me, myself n I but “us”), succeed in order to make your own money, to build something that will help self survival …” (Im not saying success is bad, I am saying willing to succeed in order to achieve our own selfish ambitions only is small) …. I feel that the wrong thing with that way of thinking is that life seems to be only about self-interest. When by only looking around us we notice that we were made to live in community in harmony, helping one another… We Chasing our selfish ambitions, we dont really care about the dying neighbor, we assume someone else (not us) will help them…?I just thought that if instead we helped each other stand up after a fall, we would build something greater for everybody, we would exploit every labour force to the fullest… I assume that would only Give a positive result at the end… But humanity has been corrupted since sin got in the world, sin got its crooked fingers around mans hearts and only the Gospel can free us from ourselves, from our sinful desires, from our own selfishness, from edonism, from constantly chasing satisfaction or pleasure in the stuff around us but rather find and seek satisfaction in God only (this is the way I feel things were supposed to be)…?Thanks for reading… If you feel I am wrong please correct me “kindly”.??Written By Mike Kasongo.?
